Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad

Arrival at Islamabad International Airport where you will be warmly welcomed by our representative upon arrival. Transfer to the hotel for check-in and time to relax after the international flight. Depending on arrival time, optional visits to nearby viewpoints, local markets, or cultural attractions of Islamabad can be arranged. Surrounded by the scenic Margalla Hills, Islamabad offers a peaceful introduction to Pakistan before beginning the northern mountain journey. Overnight stay at a hotel in Islamabad.

Day 2: Drive from Islamabad to Chilas

After breakfast, begin the spectacular drive toward Chilas via the world-famous Karakoram Highway (KKH), often regarded as the eighth wonder of the world. The journey passes through the scenic Hazara region, lush valleys, rivers, and dramatic mountain landscapes. Continue along the mighty Indus River while witnessing traditional villages, terraced fields, and changing landscapes as the road enters the heart of northern Pakistan. Several short stops will be made for photography and refreshments before arriving in Chilas. Transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3: Drive to Gilgit & Excursion to Bagrot Valley

In the morning, continue the drive from Chilas to Gilgit through spectacular mountain scenery and deep river gorges. Upon arrival in Gilgit, transfer to the hotel for check-in and relaxation. In the afternoon, proceed for a half-day excursion to the beautiful Bagrot Valley, one of the hidden gems of Gilgit-Baltistan. The valley is famous for its colorful autumn forests, orchards, traditional villages, and breathtaking mountain surroundings. Day 4: Drive from Gilgit to Hunza

Today drive from Gilgit to the world-renowned Hunza Valley along one of the most spectacular stretches of the Karakoram Highway spanning nearly 100 kilometers. This section of the route houses some of the region’s most iconic attractions and presents unmatched natural beauty with towering mountains, turquoise rivers, dramatic cliffs, and colorful autumn foliage. En route, witness Rakaposhi, Ultar, and other magnificent peaks dominating the skyline. Arrive in Hunza and transfer to the hotel while enjoying the serene atmosphere of this legendary mountain kingdom. Overnight stay at a hotel in Hunza.

Day 5: Explore Hunza Valley

Spend the day exploring the breathtaking Hunza Valley, renowned for its dramatic mountain scenery, rich culture, and centuries-old history. Visit the iconic Baltit Fort, a beautifully preserved fort overlooking Karimabad, followed by a visit to the historic Altit Fort, one of the oldest landmarks in the region. Continue to Duikar View Point for panoramic views of Hunza Valley and the surrounding Karakoram peaks, especially stunning during autumn when the valleys glow in shades of gold and red. Day 6: Excursion to Gulmit, Passu, Gulkin & Hussaini

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to the spectacular valleys of Upper Hunza (Gojal region), one of the most photogenic areas in northern Pakistan during autumn. Visit Gulmit Village and experience the unique Wakhi culture before continuing toward the stunning Passu Valley, famous for the majestic Passu Cathedral Peaks. Explore Gulkin Village and the scenic Hussaini area, known for its dramatic landscapes and suspension bridge overlooking the Hunza River. Day 8: Drive from Gilgit to Besham

After breakfast, begin the drive southward from Gilgit to Besham along the Karakoram Highway. The route offers a final opportunity to experience the grandeur of northern Pakistan’s landscapes before descending toward the lower regions. Day 9: Drive to Swat over Shangla Pass

This morning drive toward the beautiful Swat Valley via the scenic Shangla Pass, one of the most picturesque mountain routes connecting northern Pakistan with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The road passes through forested hills, mountain villages, and scenic viewpoints offering beautiful views of the surrounding valleys. Day 10: Drive to Islamabad via Takht-e-Bahi

After breakfast, drive toward Islamabad with an en route visit to Takht-e-Bahi Monastery near Mardan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest surviving Buddhist monastic complexes of the Gandhara Civilization. Explore the ancient monastery complex situated on a hilltop and learn about the region’s rich Buddhist history dating back nearly two thousand years. After the visit, continue the drive to Islamabad through the plains of northern Pakistan. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for overnight stay in Islamabad.

Day 11: Departure from Islamabad

Transfer to Islamabad International Airport for your outbound flight. Assistance will be provided with departure formalities before bidding farewell to Pakistan.
